Born in Washington D.C. and having lived across the country, Nicolas Luna has always had a passion for film and media. 

After graduating college in Austin, Texas, Nicolas continued his academic career at the City College of New York with a MFA in writing and directing fiction.  

From there he worked as a development producer at Hard Working Movies, where he was associate producer on Hail Satan? (2018) and various other roles on other award winning feature length documentaries. He was also the lead DCP encoder for Wheelhouse Creative. He was the post production coordinator for a feature length documentary, Hold Me Right (2020) and the head colorist/technical editor at Chromavision, working a variety of film and television projects.

Currently Nicolas is the senior systems administrator for the film department at the School of Visual Arts.

For short film Shekinah Glory (2019) he was the a producer, lead editor and sound designer. The film proceeded to win first prize for documentary in the Bowery Film Festival in New York City.

In his free time, he is a lead live event producer and co-founder of Donut Lounge, which hosts live hip hop events across New York City. 

Nicolas has a popular a true crime comedy podcast with his ex-brother-in-law Aaron Black and current girlfriend Osa titled, LOVE IS AMAZING.  The show is focused on crimes of passion and features a different comedian every week.  

Oh…. Also, he is a music producer who has opened for the Wu-Tang Clan.
